بعد الاستقلال، يتتبع المقرر المهرجانات والأنشطة الثقافية الوطنية والدولية، إضافةً إلى استكشاف مختلف أشكال التعبير الفني من سينما ومسرح وأدب وفولكلور. كما يدرس تأثير العولمة على المشهد الثقافي الجزائري، لا سيما في مجالات المطبخ والحكايات الشعبية والأساطير. وبهدف إكساب الطلاب مهارات البحث والتحليل، يتضمن المقرر أعمالاً شخصية، منها ما تشمل اختيار موضوع بحث وإنتاج فيديو قصير حوله.

The course "Algeria’s Cultural History" provides an in-depth study of the cultural and intellectual developments that have shaped the Algerian identity across the ages. The course commences by shedding light on the scientific and cultural landscape of Algeria, showcasing the hubs of scientific renaissance and the prominent figures in this domain. It also focuses on the role of national institutions and movements, such as the Association of Muslim Scholars and the National Movement, in disseminating cultural awareness and reinforcing the Algerian identity during the liberation struggle.
After independence, the course traces national and international cultural festivals and activities, in addition to exploring various forms of artistic expression, including cinema, theater, literature, and folklore. It examines the impact of globalization on the Algerian cultural scene, particularly in the realms of cuisine, folktales, and myths. To equip students with research and analytical skills, the course incorporates individual projects, including selecting a research topic and producing a short video on it.
