At the core of urban design lies the study of urban forms and their transformations, an emerging discipline that bridges the fields of architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture. The Urban Design course provides students with the theoretical foundations necessary to understand the challenges involved in coordinating multiple scales of intervention. It aims to cultivate the ability to develop sustainable urban projects that respond to the transformations of contemporary contexts shaping the urban fabric, through the creation of connected, harmonious, inclusive, and sustainable urban environments.
