Prerequisites:Allowing students to learn the essential theories and applications
of the science of topography is crucial for their professional
development. Topography, which focuses on the measurement and
representation of the shapes and details of the terrain, plays a
fundamental role in various fields such as urban planning, engineering,
and environmental studies. With a solid education, students will acquire
the necessary skills to develop accurate plans, maps, and topographic
surveys. Understanding geodetic principles is also essential, as it
enables the determination of the Earth's shape and dimensions. Knowledge
in topometry, which is based on geodetic points to establish digital
models of the terrain, is indispensable for creating large-scale
planimetric and altimetric representations.
